Things live because of the water cycle.

Explanation:

Moisture, rain, evaporation; these are all part of the water cycle. Imagine a landscape without rain. That would be a desert. So, the rain allows plants and other smaller organisms to live, off which other, larger animals feed. These larger animals become prey for even larger animals, and so on. Thus, the relationship between the water cycle and living things is life itself.
