Since it is travelling upwards, a =-9.81 m/s^2
At max height, v= 0 m/s
Therefore by the formula, v^2 = u^2 + 2ax, calculate x
0 = 9.80^2 + 2 (-9.81) x
x = 96.04/19.62
x = 4.895 m
