Hence we have to put the formula
${v}^{2} = {u}^{2} - 2 a s$ where v,u,a & s are respectively final velocity, initial velocity, retardation and displacement.
Here,$u = 2 , v = 0 , a = 6 m {s}^{-} 2$
So,
2^2=2×6×s
$s = \frac{1}{3}$
