A tire has a pressure of 780 mmHg at 27 deg C. If the tire is heated to 47 deg C on hot pavement, what will the new pressure be?

We use $\frac{{p}_{1}}{T} _ 1 = \frac{{p}_{2}}{T} _ 2$, with $T$ in $K$
${27}^{o} C = 27 + 273 K = 300 K$
${47}^{o} C = 47 + 273 K = 320 K$
${p}_{2} = {T}_{2} / {T}_{1} \times {p}_{1} = \frac{320}{300} \times 780 = 832 m m H g$
