The remaining volume is =33.5 u^3=33.5u3

Explanation:

Volume of ellipsoid is =4/3piabc=43πabc

Volume of hemisphere is =2/3pir^3=23πr3

Remaining volume =4/3piabc-2/3pir^3=43πabc23πr3

=2/3pi(2abc-r^3)=23π(2abcr3)

=2/3pi(2*3*4*1-2^3)=23π(234123)

=2/3pi(24-28)=23π(2428)

=2/3pi*16=23π16

=33.5=33.5
