Spermatocytes are male gametocytes.
- They are formed from immature germ cells called spermatogonia.
- There are two types of spermatocytes called Primary spermatocytes and Secondary Spermatocytes.
- These spermatocytes are formed by a process called spermatogenesis.
- Primary spermatocytes are Diploid in nature. They undergo a meiotic division and forms secondary spermatocytes which are haploid in nature.
