Everyone has a specific blood type.

Explanation:

You get a blood type through a set of genes, one from your mom and the other from your dad. A, B, AB or O generally. And while two people can have the same blood type, if you find B blood you aren't going to be having any A blood types on your suspect list.
It helps with other things too like paternity/maternity cases!
