Can law be included in the Socratic.org list of topics? This could help out a lot of people who would want their legal inquiries to be answered free of charge.

Answer:

It would also open Socratic up to the possibility of liability........

Explanation:

The questions are asked on the basis of #"caveat emptor"#, #"let the buyer beware"#, I am real chuffed that I was able to use that Latin tag in a question about law. A given answer may be wrong. Sometimes these are corrected by later posters, but sometimes they stand.

A legal course of action suggested here could be dead wrong, and even illegal and incriminating. Citizens' advice bureaux do exist, and punters should take their legal queries there, failing to retain a solicitor. Of course solicitors and briefs must pay tremendous insurance premiums should they be sued for malpractice or incorrect advice........
