Lizard

Explanation:

Lizards raise and lower their bodies and change body shape to decrease or increase heat conduction between themselves and the ground they rest on. They seek sunlight or shade or burrow into the soil to adjust their temperatures. Desert beetles, and similar creatures exhibit similar behaviour. They raise their legs to decrease contact between their body and the soil, minimizing conduction and increasing by exposing body surfaces to the wind. Therefore, body temperatures of poikilotherms do not necessarily follow the general ambient climate.

Kangaroo rats.

Explanation:

Kangaroo rats, unlike most miniscule animals, can go without water for a considerably long time. This helps them adapt to the deserts they live in.
