The cell builds new material for the new cell including the components of the nucleus and those of the cytoplasm.

Explanation:

Interphase is divided into three stages called G1, s, and G2.
During G1 and G2 the organelles in the cytoplasm are duplicated. During the S phase the DNA duplicates.
