Nerve impulse results the release of neurotransmitters.

Explanation:

It is not the neurotransmitter (nt) that carry the impulse . When electrical impulse stimulates the nerves , it stimulates the release of nt into the synaptic cleft and then it binds to the receptors on the post synaptic membrane which then continues to stimulate the other nerve . Hope this help .
