(-2,2) in polar form is (2sqrt2,(3pi)/4)

Explanation:

(a,b) in polar form is (r,theta) where r=sqrt(a^2+b^2) and tantheta=b/a

Hence (-2,2) in polar form is (r,theta) where

r=sqrt((-2)^2+2^2)=sqrt(4+4)=sqrt8=2sqrt2 and

tantheta=2/(-2)=-1=(3pi)/4

Hence (-2,2) in polar form is (2sqrt2,(3pi)/4)
