# How do you convert 4x+3y-8=0 into slope intercept form?

The slope-intercept form is
$y = m x + b$ for some constant values $m$ (the slope) and $b$ the y-intercept.

$4 x + 3 y - 8 = 0$
is equivalent to
$3 y = - 4 x + 8$

By dividing both sides by $3$ we get
$y = - \frac{4}{3} x + \frac{8}{3}$

So the slope is $\left(- \frac{4}{3}\right)$ and the Y-intercept is at $\left(0 , \frac{8}{3}\right)$
