From the slope of the line with mass on the y axis and volume on the x axis

Explanation:

Density is Mass over Volume # D = (M/V)#

Slope = #(y/x)#

So if you graph Mass = y and Volume = x

The Slope is the average Density

This is a great way of determining Density.

A fun experiment is to have students find the mass and volume of different numbers of pennies ( which vary in mass density) . Then graph the results to find an average density.
