# How do you evaluate \frac { 2} { 5} \div \frac { 3} { 4} ?

it says $\frac{2}{5} \div \frac{3}{4}$ , you can read it as $\frac{2}{5}$ "divided by" $\frac{3}{4}$
$\therefore$ $\frac{2}{5}$ "divided by" $\frac{3}{4}$ becomes $\frac{2}{5}$ "multiplied by" $\frac{4}{3}$
or $\frac{2}{5} \times \frac{4}{3} i . e \frac{8}{15}$
$\frac{2}{5} \div \frac{3}{4} = \frac{\frac{2}{5}}{\frac{3}{4}} = \frac{2}{5} \cdot \frac{4}{3} = \frac{8}{15}$
