I would try to find two numbers that added together give $-8$ and multiplied $16$ : they can be: $-4$ and $-4$ :
So I can write:

$(x-4)(x-4)=(x-4)^2=x^2-8x+16$

How do you factor x^2-8x+16x^2-8x+16?
