Well firstly;(remove $x^2$ )

$x^2(x^2 +7x + 12)$
step 2; split the middle term
Sum = 7
product = 12
Possible factors;
$(4,3)$

$x^2[ (x^2 +4x + 3x + 12)]$
$x^2[ x(x + 4) + 3(x + 4)]$
$x^2 (x + 3)(x + 4)$
