# How do you graph f(x)=2(x+1)^2-2?

Given -
y= 2${\left(x + 1\right)}^{2}$ - 2
Simplify it
y = 2 (${x}^{2}$ +2x + 1) -2
y = 2${x}^{2}$ + 4x +2 - 2
y = 2${x}^{2}$ + 4x
Find its vertex.
x = $\frac{- b}{2 a}$ = $\frac{- 4}{2 \times 2}$ = - 1

At x = -1 ; the curve turns. Take a few points on either side.

Plot then and Join them.
