How do you graph the inequality y>2?

Graph the line $y = 2$, and shade in the area where $y > 2$
Graph the straight line $y = 2$, which is simply a horizontal line at $2$ on the $y$ axis. Since $y > 2$, we need to shade the area above the line, because the area above the line is where $y > 2$. Lastly the line must be dotted/dashed, it can't be a straight line, this is done to represent that y≠2
