This is the equation of a straight line of the form y = mx + c
Here,

m is the slope of the straight line and c is the intercept the line makes on the y axis.

Comparing the given equation y = -2x + 7 with y = mx + c,
we understand the following:

The line intersects with the y axis at (0,7).

Now we substitute y = 0 and solve the equation,
0 = -2x + 7

or 2x = 7

or x = 7/2

Hence, the line passes through the point (7/2 , 0)
If the two points (7/2 , 0) and (0,7) are joined, the required line is obtained.
