# How do you graph y=sin(x+pi)?

We start by rewriting using identities.

$y = \sin \left(x + \pi\right)$

$y = \sin x \cos \left(\pi\right) + \sin \left(\pi\right) \cos x$

$y = \sin x \left(- 1\right) + 0$

$y = - \sin x$

This is the graph of the basic sine function with a reflection over the x-axis.
