How do you normalize (3i + 2j - 6k) (3i+2j6k)?

1 Answer

To normalize a vector you just divide each axis modulus with its norm hence

u_(norm)=u/absu

where u=(3,2,-6) and absu=sqrt(3^2+2^2+(-6)^2)=7

so the normal vector is

u_(norm)=(3/7,2/7,-6/7)
