How do you simplify #sqrt( 3/10)#?

The most you can do is use a calculator to evaluate
#sqrt(3/10) = sqrt(0.3) = 0.547723#

The answer is #sqrt(30)/10#

You can get it by multiplying both numerator and denominator by #sqrt(10)#. This way you get only rational number in the denominator. This is the simpliest way to write this number.

Of course you can use calculator and round the number as you are adviced in the first answer, but I think that is not what you were asked to do.
