How do you simplify sqrt(50)-sqrt(2)?

First simplify $\sqrt{50}$.

sqrt(50) = sqrt(2 · 25) = sqrt(2) sqrt(25) = 5 sqrt(2)

The simplified expression is $5 \sqrt{2} - \sqrt{2}$.

Lets further simplify this$\sqrt{2} \left(5 - 1\right)$

This can be further simplified $4 \sqrt{2}$
