How do you solve 2x²=6x?

Apr 25, 2016

$x = 0$ or $x = 3$.
$2 {x}^{2} = 6 x$ can be written as $2 {x}^{2} - 6 x = 0$. Now taking $2 x$ common, we get
$2 x \left(x - 3\right) = 0$
Hence either $x = 0$ or $x - 3 = 0$ i.e. $x = 3$.
