# How do you solve for y: 2x - 4y = 6?

Apr 10, 2015

y= $\frac{x}{2}$ - $\frac{3}{2}$

Isolate y on one side and the rest terms on the other side of the equation ,
4y = 2x-6. Now divide the equation by 4,

y= $\frac{1}{2}$ x - $\frac{3}{2}$
