Adding all the eqns., 2(x+y+z+v+w)=334.

:. x+y+z+v+w=167......(star).

In this, x+y=53, and, z+v=90.

Subst.ing (star), 53+90+w=167 rArr w=24...(1).

"In "(star)" subst., "y+z=44, v+w=79," &, get, "x=44...(2).

w+v=79, &, w=24 rArr v=55...(3).

x+y=53, &, x=44 rArr y=9.......(4).

y+z=44, &, y=9 rArr z=35......(5).

Thus, x=44, y=9, z=35, v=55, and, w=24.
