we have two equations
let #x-3y=-2# ...............eq( 1)
and #4x-2y=-8#..............eq(2)
Now we have to subsitute or eliminate either x or y
let us eliminate y
now multiply eq(1) with 2 and eq(2) with 3,we will get
#2x-6y=-4#...eq(1) and #12x-6y=-24#....eq(2)
now subtract eq(1) from eq(2)
we will get
#10x=-20# we see that it is in a linear form solving x we get
x=-2
putting y in eq(1) and eq(2)
we get y=0.
