How do you solve the system `y= -2+ln(x-1)`, `3y+2x=9`?

I found `x=5.31` and `y=-0.54`, but....

Explanation:

I used a graphical method plotting (using Excel) the two equations as functions of `x` where:
f1 is `y=-2+ln(x-1)` (blue)
f2 is `y=-2/3x+3` (red)

and I got:

I know...it`s kinda cheating but it is the best I could work out!
