Explanation:

Note there is no "pretty" version of this solution.

As an alternate expression:
color(white)("XXX")x^4=8

color(white)("XXX")rarr x^2=sqrt(8)=2sqrt(2)

color(white)("XXX")rarr x=+-sqrt(2sqrt(2))

...but this is really just the same as root(4)(8)
