How do you write x-2y=2 in y=mx+b form?

We start off by transposing x to the Right Hand Side

$- 2 y = x + 2$

We can then divide both sides by $- 2$

$\frac{\cancel{- 2} y}{\cancel{2}} = \frac{x + 2}{2}$

$y = \frac{x}{2} + \frac{2}{2}$

color(green)(y = (1/2)*x + 1

The Slope of this line is $\frac{1}{2}$ and it's Y intercept is $1$. It's graph will look like this:

graph{y = (1/2)*x + 1 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}
