How much work does it take to raise a 6 kg weight 20 m ?

Feb 11, 2016

$m \cdot g \cdot h$ where $m$ is mass in kg., $g$ is acceleration due to gravity which is 9.8 meters / $\sec o n {d}^{2}$ and $h$ is height in meters.
So work done in this case is $6 \cdot 9.8 \cdot 20$ i.e. 1176 Joules.
