Let the first digit be x.
& the second & third digit be y.

Hence, the three digit number is xyy.

Given, x=4+(y+y).

:.x=2y+4......(1).

Hence the sum of all the digits is rarr

=x+y+y

=2y+4+2y larr From (1).

=4y+4

=4(y+1).

Hence, the sum of the three digits in terms of second & third digit is 4(y+1). (Answer).
