Yes, it is linear.


There are five conditions which must be met in order for an equation or function to be linear.

1) No variable can have an exponent other than the understood #+1#.
2) No term can have more tan one variable.
3) No variable can be part of the denominator of a fraction.
4) No variable can be inside absolute value lines.
5) No variable can be part of a radicand.

Since #y = 1# meets all these conditions, it is linear.
