# The sum of 3 consecutive odd numbers is 27, how do you find the numbers?

Remember that consecutive integers differ in the value of $2$:

Let the first no. be $x$:
Then,second no.=$x + 2$
Third no.=$x + 4$

So,

$\rightarrow \left(x\right) + \left(x + 2\right) + \left(x + 4\right) = 27$

$\rightarrow x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 27$

$\rightarrow 3 x + 6 = 27$

$\rightarrow 3 x = 27 - 6$

$\rightarrow 3 x = 21$

$x = \frac{21}{3} = 37$

So,First no=$x = 7$
Second no.=$x + 2 = 7 + 2 = 9$
Third no.=$x + 4 = 7 + 4 = 11$

The three nos. are $7 , 9 \mathmr{and} 11$
