  1. Opuntia and Euphorbia reduced their leaves into spines. The spines with reduce surface areas control loss of water by transpiration.
  2. The leaves of Calotropis procera have a waxy thick coating which reduce loss of water.
  3. The sunken stomata are cofined to the lower surface of leavres.
