It depends on the filter.

Explanation:

Satellite images are determined by what wavelength they are showing, which depends on the filter. Standard ones are 11 microns (infrared), 1 micron (near infrared), 4 microns (also near infrared), 7 microns (water vapour) and 0.5 microns (visible light).

Infrared data is showing temperature. Visible light is showing reflected light. Near infrared is showing a combination of both infrared and visible light. Finally, water vapor is showing the amount of water vapor.
