When it rains collect rainwater, compute rainfall intensity, etc.

Explanation:

When it rains, with a chronometer, measure rainfall depth accumulation. Try to relate it with runoff. You can also measure pH, dissolved oxygen and electric conductivity of rainfall if possible.

You can put a glass (or container) of water on an open space and measure evaporation from this everyday. You can collect weather data to relate independent parameters with evaporation depth of water.

You can put a glass (or container) of water on an open space but this time it can stay under shade. You can do a similar activity mentioned above.

You can ask your local dam manager to report your water (amount) observed over a year or so. You can chart this providing seasonal variation, precipitation amounts, sunshine hours, temperatures, pressures, etc.
