Just to retire this question you should rotate the appropriate ones...


You gots say propane...#H_3C-CH_2-CH_3#...clearly you can ONLY rotate a PAIR of equivalent #C-C# bonds...!


And you SHOULD really consider a three-dimensional model of the molecule that you got in you hand, BEFORE you attempt to represent them on the printed page.

Given the representation of propane, which conformation would you consider to be the higher in energy?
