# What is another way to say density?

Jan 19, 2017

$\text{Mass per unit volume..........?}$

#### Explanation:

$\rho$, $\text{density}$, $= \text{mass"/"volume}$.

And, clearly this has the units of $g \cdot m {L}^{-} 1$ or $g \cdot c {m}^{-} 3$.

Mass concentration? It's kind of like saying molar density instead of molarity.

Just like molar concentration, or molarity, is $\text{mol"/"L}$, the density in the analogous units would be $\text{g"/"L}$ and can be called "mass concentration".
