What is the classification for the unbalanced reaction: Fe(s) + HCl(aq) -> FeCl_3(aq) + H_2(g)?

I go with Michael one this, but if we are just looking to classify it, it would be single replacement (or single displacement, if you prefer).

Explanation:

Even though the reaction may not work as written, it follows the general form

$A + B C \rightarrow A B + C$

which is common to all single replacement reactions.
