Because of increased global temperatures, we're seeing a decrease in glacier mass, shorter winters, coral bleaching in the oceans, and more negative effects.
These changes are occurring over the long term. When we're referring to global warming, we're not discussing one very cold winter in the northeastern USA. Instead, we're referring to long term trends of warming.
