On the basis of shape and structure:-
Tuber:
- They are enlarged stem tissues
- They are either flat or cylindrical in shape.
- Some of the examples are potatoes and dahlia.
Bulb:
- They are round and oval in shape
- They have white fleshy skin
- They have an outer skin which protects them from the outer environment.
But both the tubers and the bulbs perform the function of storing food for the plants.
