Equation of a line parallel to #ax+by=c# is #ax+by=k#

Hence, equation of a line parallel to #6x-5y=2# is

#6x-5y=k#

As it passes through #(8,-1)#

#6xx8-5xx(-1)=k#

i.e. #k=48+5=53#

Hence equation of line is #6x-5y=53#.
