# What is the solution to y=2x+1 and 2y=4x+2?

All ordered pairs $\left(x , y\right)$, such that $y = 2 x + 1$.
$\left(0 , 1\right) , \left(1 , 3\right) , \ldots$

The reasoning behind this is that the two equations are essentially identical. One can reduce the second equation by dividing both sides by two to get the first equation.

Also, graphically, they are both representations of the same line. Therefore, any point on that line is a valid solution.
