Chloroplasts and mitochondria are the organelles involved in photosynthesis and cell respiration respectively.

The process of photosynthesis starts when light is trapped by the pigment - Chlorophyll present in the grana . Grana are membranous structures arranged in stacks within the chloroplasts.

Cellular respiration involves the processes of --
Glycolysis which takes place in the cytoplasm.
Kreb's Cycle, Electron Transport system and Chemiosmosis occur within the mitochondria.
