"Earth" would be a very obvious answer... ;-)

Explanation:

In the old times, a number of planets were already known (everything up to and including Saturn). They were called planets (from Greek for 'wanderer') because they moved differently from the fixed stars.
The first 'newly' discovered planet was Uranus, by Herschel. Later astronomers found that the orbit of Uranus was disturbed by something. Through their calculations they found Neptune.
Pluto was discovered much later, but has since been degraded to the status of dwarf planet.

Among the planets in solar system 5 were known to ancient people. They are Mercury,Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. first planet was discovered was Uranus by William Herschel.

Explanation:

There are records of seeing this objects in old records. But it was William Herschel who identified it as Planet..
