Carbon dioxide emissions are the major cause of global warming. The modern economy is based on Carbon fuels, but we can make efforts to reduce it.

Explanation:

By changing our consumption habits, taking steps to save energy and organising with others, we can help reduce global warming and save the planet.

Changing Consumption Habits.

1) Animal meat and products use up a lot of resources and their transportation increases carbon footprint. Reduction in consumption and refocusing diet on fresh fruits and vegetables will help reduce global warming.
2) Locally sourced products bring about a considerable saving in resources and reduction in emissions due to transportation from far off places.
3) It takes a lot of energy to create materials from scratch. Recycling and reusing lowers the amount of energy required to make new products. We can donate unwanted items and use reusable cutlery and plate, instead of disposable items.

Saving Energy

1) Opting for carpools and mass transportation helps to minimise emissions. Riding a bicycle helps.
2) Insulating our homes and major appliances will go a long way in reducing green house gases.
3) Replacing old light bulbs with LED lights saves a lot of power.

Engaging In Activism.

1) Sharing concern about global warming is one of the most effective ways, so take an initiative.
2) Inform people about dangers of global warming and impact their lives.
3) Join or create an advocacy group and educate public and make real changes to reduce global warming.
