It is enzymes that activate chemical reaction the body. Enzymes act as a catalyst to speed up biochemical reaction.
There are different of them produced at different places in the body. Such as,

  • pepsin , which helps to break down foods in the stomach, which is speeding up the digestive process and that is where is produced.

  • Sucrase , is produced in the small intestine that helps to break down sucrose into smaller molecules like glucose and fructose, in order them to be absorbed into the blood.
