Why is the sky dark at night?

By at least one of these two reasons:

-the speed of light is not infinite (true)

  • the Universe is finite(?)

Explanation:

If the Universe were infinite, every single point in the sky would be occupied by one star. Additionally, if the light speed were infinite all the light of these stars, would reach the Earth at the same time. The nights would be brighter than the day we actually experience.
